"Non bene pro toto libertas venditur auro"
(Liberty should not be sold even at the price of gold).

Attractions walkthrough

The Minčeta Tower is on the north-west side of the City, and the RevelinTower on its east. The walls were built from the 13th century to the 18th century, constantly added to and strengthened, without ever having to be used for the purpose for which they were built, thanks to the skillful diplomacy of Dubrovnik.

Because of its monumental walls and well-preserved cultural monuments, Dubrovnik has been included in UNESCO's Register of World Architectural Heritage

Beaches

Most of these beaches are very good, and offer a lot of additional content, to the usual calm soothing sea, warm Mediterranean sun experience such as cafe bars, restaurants, tennis courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, the possibility of renting sports equipment, canoes, kayaks, etc. The most popular of the Dubrovnik public beaches are Banje, Lapad Bay beaches (Vis, Adriatic, Sunset Beach...), and Copacabana beach.

For those who stay for a longer time in Dubrovnik, a day trip to Lokrum can be an interesting option. Though the island has no beautiful sand beaches, it has a couple of swimming opportunities, a lot of paths to walk along in the woods, the ruins of a castle and those of a monastery, and two cafés. The swimming opportunities are rocky places, but some facilities make entering the water pretty easy. In the south of the island, there is a nudist beach as well.
